2012.6.24_feel foreign

It had been a very exciting day to know all the teachers, faculties, and especially the students. It's really my pleasure to meet you all, you are all so nice!

The most interesting thing and weird thing today should be during our walk from Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall to National Taiwan Museum. As a native Taiwanese, the walk on the Taipei street surprisingly felt unfamiliar to me today. The Presidential Building and all the governmental buildings looked so foreign not because of its western style, I guess it was because I supposed I was there to learn new things. Therefore, through this angle, I saw a different Taipei. This was the first time that I got to know how it might have felt like to be a foreigner visiting Taiwan, and it definitely is a moment to be remembered and cherished.

I will remind myself,
"Do think and feel fresh always."

By the way, I forgot to introduce the T-shirt I was wearing today. It is our department's (The Department of Horticulture and Landscape Architecture) T-shirt designed by our students, and we usually have new designs every year.
