The thing I remember the most is the video we watched in Dr. Yuan's lecture, it was a brief introduction of Taiwan's unique diversity of animals as well as the notorious earthquake and typhoon. My favorite part of watching the video was getting to know how the animals behave.
The one that I was amazed the most is the frog's breeding process. As we all know, male frogs use sounds to attract female frogs. But the first thing that surprised me was after laying fertilized eggs, it is the male frog which stays and look after the eggs, and they even will wipe water on the eggs to moisturize the eggs. Later, after a week after hatch, the female frog will even find its way back and lay underutilized eggs for tadpoles as foods. How do they know that they have to stay, to moisturize the eggs, to come back and lay food, and even know the way back? All the mechanisms happening in the nature make me cant help but praise its self-sustaining ans and self-supporting system!
I took Cynthia and Jennifer to dinner, we had beef noodles and bought shave ice and cool drinks afterward. Hope you like it!
All in all, I had a wonderful day.
